The School of Engineering record group is divided into two series:  TOPICAL FILES and PUBLICATIONS.

The TOPICAL FILES series includes sketchy information on the CAD/CAM Robotics Laboratory, the Freshman Engineering Program, and the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Program.  This series also includes resumes of the faculty for the years 1982 and 1983.  There are also self-study reports for the North Central Accreditation for 1973, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1995, 1998, and 1999. There are also Annual Reports for 1992-2001.

The PUBLICATIONS series contains scattered School of Engineering brochures from 1960 to 1990.  There are scattered recruiting brochures for the individual departments. They document the period from 1960 to 1973, and describe the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.  There is a single course schedule from 1981. Issues of the Dearborn Engineer from 1994-2010, and Engineering Now from 1987 through 1988 are also included in this record group. Also included is annual Proceedings, later titled Technology Day, from 1996-1999, 2001-2003, and 2005-2007.
