Acquisition Note: Source: Mike Stein, Institutional Advancement, Engineering. The record group was transferred to the archives March 2009; copied and returned to IA Sept. 2009.The collection is an accumulation of materials given to Mike Stein, Institutional Advancement’s development officer for Engineering. He contacted some of Engineering’s early graduates and received photographs, publications, and some records of Dearborn Center Engineers, from them. Most photographs are copies from the University Relations collection, which were scanned for Stein by the archives. One of the graduates, James D. Evanoff, was involved in the engineering society Tau Beta Pi and gave Mike Stein some of material relating to that organization. There was a misunderstanding in that IA had expected to return this material to the alumni, so the publications and photos were copied, and the files returned to Rachel Lindley in IA. Some of the original material was returned to the archives following discussion with the alumni.
