Scope and Contents: The Ecumenical Ministry to Higher Education in Dearborn record group is divided into three series: CORRESPONDENCE FILES, PUBLICATIONS, and GABRIEL RICHARD CAMPUS MINISTRY.
The CORRESPONDENCE FILES series dating from 1963 through 1968 includes correspondence between William Stirton, other university officials, and local Dearborn ministers who were trying to establish a ministry at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Henry Ford Community College.
The PUBLICATIONS series includes two issues of the EMHED News from 1968 and a proposal for this project.
The third series is the GABRIEL RICHARD CAMPUS MINISTRY. This material, dating from 1984 through 1989, includes flyers announcing upcoming events and several issues of the GRC Newsletter. These publications have been included in this series because the Roman Catholic Church was involved in the early ecumenical movement.
