Scope and Contents: The Office of Admissions and Orientation record group is divided into four series: ADMISSIONS OFFICE TOPICAL FILES, ADMISSIONS OFFICE PUBLICATIONS, ORIENTATION OFFICE PUBLICATIONS, and STUDIES AND REPORTS.
Included under the ADMISSIONS OFFICE TOPICAL FILES are various committees, all under the heading "committees". These include the Ad Hoc Faculty Committee on Freshman Admissions covering the period from 1969 through 1978, and minutes of the Admissions Advisory Committee dating from 1970 to 1974. This series also includes minutes from the Student Union Planning Committee from 1970 to 1971.
The ADMISSIONS OFFICE PUBLICATIONS include various brochures, bulletins, and scattered newsletters such as 'Communique' from 1985, the 'Metro Wolverine Admissions News' from 1971 to 1975, and 'Update' which covers the period from 1979 through 1985.
The ORIENTATION OFFICE PUBLICATIONS series includes brochures and an orientation packet.
The STUDIES AND REPORTS series includes Enrollment Trends, dating 1984 to 1989, Image Criteria and Selection from January and February of 1998 (by Yee, Minard and Assocites, Inc., Strategic Marketing Research) and Enrollment Reports from 2001/2002.
