The Mardigian Library will co-host the Annual Holocaust and Armenian Genocide Commemoration on April 11, 2011.

Steven K. Baum, Ph.D., the featured speaker, will present “Understanding Why: The Psychology of Genocide.” Baum serves as the editor of the Journal for the Study of Antisemitism and as book editor for the Journal of Hate Studies. He is also the author of books about genocide and anti-Semitism, such as The Psychology of Genocide: Perpetrators, Bystanders, and Rescuers.

The commemoration will begin at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.

Dr. Michael Kimmel will be on campus Thursday, April 7 to speak about his latest book, Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Men. The Mardigian Library has 10 books by Dr. Kimmel, including Guyland. Check them out!
