Turnitin Plagiarism Detection

Our campus has a site license for Turnitin - a program that helps faculty members detect plagiarism in student writing.

Passwords, setup files, and more information. (Requires login with email password; faculty and staff only.)

  • Papers are submitted electronically to www.turnitin.com, either by the instructor or by the student.
  • Instructors must set up a course page for each class, using an institutional user number and password.
  • Turnitin compares the submissions to resources on the public Internet, to previous submissions of student papers, and to some licensed resources, including ProQuest.
  • The Library will offer workshops for Turnitin soon.
  • Turnitin training manuals and videos
