Head, Access Services
About Me
As the Head of Access Services, my goal is to connect our patrons with all the resources that the library has to offer. I supervise and ensure staffing for the Library Info Desk, while working to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Through close collaboration with other library departments I continually examine how to best support the success of our students, faculty and local community.
I am currently working towards a graduate degree in Library and Information Science at San José State University and hold a BA in Art History from Portland State University. In my past professional experience I have held positions in several academic libraries (working with collections ranging from law, to health sciences, to art) and have a strong background in resource sharing.
Currently enrolled students and currently employed faculty and staff are eligible for a free digital subscription to the New York Times (NYT) (some limitations apply) and Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
Access requires creation of accounts for each site. Full details and setup instructions are available on the New York Times and Wall Street Journal setup pages.
