Paris
I completely and thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Paris, and will be posting pictures as soon as I have some uninterrupted time with a version of Photoshop that is suitable, since I got a little crazy with the dpi (my digital camera is very...robust, tee hee). Anyway, the very first image available makes a lovely desktop image. It's a super close-up of one of Monet's paintings of the cathedral at Rouen. I was able to hold the camera four inches from the canvas, so you can get a sense of the bumpy, knobbly texture of the blobs of paint. Seeing Monet's paintings in person is so much more impressive than looking at pictures of them because of the texture. Anyway, here 'tis (411k). Don't worry; I didn't use the flash.
