Ugh, Maybe we'll leave the packing materials in place...
I was told I could remove the gauze and shower, assuming I left the little plastic cap thing in place. Unfortunately, the surgical site is rather on the gross and oozy side. When I took the gauze off last night (the adhesive on the tape is driving me slightly nuts), I got woozy and had to sit on the floor of the bathroom while I rewrapped the package. My lungs are also still not recovered; I resorted to cough medicine last night. I tire of clearing my throat. Bleah.
