Retiring the Cap
I am officially allowed to jettison the plastic cap thingy. It doesn't matter all that much, since I haven't really been applying it daily, but it's nice to have the medical professionals tell me I can stop wearing it. Unfortunately, a portion of the reconstructed, uh, area is a bit infected and is still oozy. Bleah. I am not to squash it, which means constructive foundation garments are forbidden. Sigh. I tire of wearing several shirts over a tank top. I hope the thing heals soon.

Hopefully the residual ickiness clears up quickly. I have a good idea what you're dealing from my own experiences changing dressings and such. In mom's case it seemed to linger on a while, but finally cleared up entirely. 8)
